Why the Herb Shop was Created
Thyme Wisper Herb Shop was created by a Master Herbalist and Nutritionist to facilitate teaching people how to live and be healthy.
Sustainable

The Thyme Wisper Herb Shop is located on top of a ridge in beautiful timberland within the Pineview unincorporated area of Perry County, Tennessee. With no electricity, water, or phone services provided to the 18 acre property, sustainability was a key component in its construction. A solar power system consisting of a charger, controller, inverter, 12 6V deep cycle batteries and 9 solar panels provides electricity, Pumping water from a 165 foot deep well, a DC submersible water pump is powered by its own batteries that are charged by two dedicated solar panels. A solar water collector system provides hot water in the summer, while a wood stove provides heat and hot water in the winter.
Every attempt was to buy local and consider environmental impact. If not local, then the region, then Tennessee, then surrounding states, then United States and so on. If bought from overseas, consideration of recycled or reclaimed and fair trade were major factors. Some results: Cork floors, recycled denim insulation, metal roof.
